Just found out my wife bought me a MSI Z490 Carbon
Ek X motherboard. I have always used Gigabyte or Evga in the past. No experience with MSI. Doing some research it seems the EK monoblock is why this board is almost $400. Just trying to get some opinions my new cpu is an I7 10700KF. I have bitspower summit m cpu block I was going to reuse in my build prior to wife's purchase. I was only planning on maybe $250 for a motherboard. I think it was a really awesome thing she did but I dont want her to waste money.

Can't speak to that particular board, but I've used MSi in the past, never had an issue with them..

Honestly reliable is all I am looking for. Going from a 4th gen i7 to 10th gen cpu should be a decent upgrade. She tried to buy the Evga z490 FTW but their was no stock at realistic prices. I did a little research and it looks like its a Z490 Carbon wifi board ( bios already supports 11th gen) with an EK monoblock and psi tester. Should be fun. Now I have to buy ram gives me a headache just thinking of all the choices.
