Does anybody have a build that has:

- NZXT S340 Elite (2 front fan spaces, 1 top fan, 1 rear fan)
- NZXT X62 Kraken Cooler
- EVGA FTW3 1080 Ti Hybrid

Due to this combination, the X62 takes up the front 2 fans with the radiator behind them. This leaves the top 120mm fan and rear 120mm fan space as the only other options to mount the EVGA hybrid.

I am hoping to buy an EVGA FTW3 1080ti Hybrid and connect the GPU radiator/fan to the rear 120mm space, leaving the top 120mm  fan space using a standard fan.

Will this be possible with this case and cooler combination? I am hoping it is, as the temp differences between fan 1080 Ti vs Hybrids is large enough it seems.

Thanks,

You can but not that you should. I'd say get a new case. You want more fans blowing in then out. And have the rads as exhaust fans. So ideally have the gpu rad up top and gpu rad on the back. 3 or more fans blowing in from the front.. bonus fans blowing in from the bottom if you can.

its a limitation of the s340 elite, if you use rad cooled cpu, it can only be mounted on the front, which just leaves a 120 spot free on the back and another on the top

problem is i have already got most of the parts and was hoping I could make it work!

You can try but you should use the top fan as an intake as well. All will exhaust threw your gpu rad which will run hotter cause of the heat coming off the cpu rad.

The temp shudnt be any worse at all maybe 1-2c on the gpu but thats it.

I used a NZXT MANTA with my EVGA CLC 280mm at the top and 2 CORSAIR ML140 PRO fans at the front and my 1080 ti hybrid at the rear, and my temp when gaming is around 52-54c (room temp 22) and my cpu was around 56c max.. then i switched to a NZXT H200I which is smaller and only place to put my 280mm was at the front and it got 1 top 120mm and 1 rear and my temp didnt get worse at all, it actually got better, my cpu temp dropped from 56c in games to around 50c and my gpu temp is about the same it might have gotten 1c worse, but thats it.

Thanks,

I have this exact setup. It will work just fine.

thanks for letting me know, any chance you have some photos of your build?

cheers

This is an older image of how you should set it up.

This case has pretty bad airflow, and everyone else seemed to have better temps than me, which triggered my OCD. I ended up with this (point and laugh):

It's marginally better (don't do this)!

It's most definitely possible.  I run this setup (with the FE card) and haven't had any issues over the last year.

Never had any problems with temps.  The year round mild ambient temps help with that too.   Gaming with the 1080 Ti at 42C is pretty sweet.

My setup is pretty basic... intakes at the front and top... exiting the rear.  I prefer the Oreo look over the Skittles look... and haven't had a need for additional fans.
