NVMe raid on the X399 ASRock motherboard (Threadripper) has only been supported for a short time. Today I decided to RAID two Samsung SM961 512GB M.2 (1 TB RAID) and then see what happens.

Here are the ATTO and Crystal Disk Mark benchmarks in RAID NVMe. Yes my system is now seriously fast.

Over the course of 24 hours I've really got some great speed and my crystalmark is still close to the 6000MB/s.

That some very nice hd performance you have :) I might try nvme raid my next cpu upgrade but that will have to wait on volta of ampere successor when pci-e 4.0 comes out. I think with my old x99 I am not able to make a bootable nvme raid also.

No that would not work on an X99. The X299 Intel platform and X399 AMD chipset platform can do this (raid NVMe).

Some big numbers there RJ.  Nice improvement in most tests...
