A lot of folks seem convinced (albeit those owners of 2080Ti's that have paid a small fortune for them) there really wont be much to offer......well heres something to ponder and were going to go back to the release of the "overwhelmingly powerful" 780's and 780 Titans .....
....now the be all end all was the 780 Titan and it was significantly more expense than a GTX 780....think the 780 was around $799 with the Titan version around $1200...but boy you had to have a Titan.....I had a 680 Classy at that that time and waited...and waited....than WHOA..something came along called a 780 Ti that came in at about $100 more than the 780 and wayyyy below the Titan...BUT far better performance than a Titan.......this stuff does happen people.......
....could very well see a 2080 Super with better or equal performance of a 2080Ti but priced well below what we have seen...afterall nv has had very poor results moving 2080Ti's at that price!!!!! Plain n simple.....
....and I would expect to see the new 2080Ti Super coming in as the new single fastest GPU..BUT likely priced ever so slightly below that present 2080Ti........all of this adds up to boosted sales for nv (which has struggled this past generation.....a LOT of folks still hanging onto 1080Ti's).......my 2 cents worth.....I still can here all the power whining from all those 780 and 780 Titan owners when the 780Ti was released ;)

I was one of the whiners when the 780 Ti showed up because it was MONTHS after the 780 was released iirc or at least when I purchased my 780 around the August time frame.  The good news was, I could have stepped up to a 780 Ti but decided not too.  I should have because I was eyeing the 6 GB VRAM version instead of the 3GBs that eventually will hold me back. lol

I upgraded from GTX780 to GTX780Ti.
And GTX780Ti performance mean a lot compare to GTX780 in that time.
There was 5-10 games where GTX780 couldn't give clear 55-60 fps, and GTX780Ti could.

hmm, so a rtx 2080 super might be the standard 2080ti performance for the lower price; not too bad!
Is there a 2080ti super in the works?

2070 Super appears to be a smidgen slower than a 2080 so it will probably be around Radeon 7 performance for a rumored $80 less....not bad. Should have no probably beating Navi but will most likely cost a lot more also.

That's a good move by Nvidia, they can use Samsung on the low end for its cheaper price and TSMC for the high end for its performance. TSMC has been consistently better than Samsung on the same node.

yeah its no secret anymore! was announced a few days ago! believe i read somewhere the GDDR6 mems for the those gfx started production already in March maybe April this year!
2020 seems to be the year for 7nm for ampere i hope ( unless nvidia wants a 7nm refresh of turing... tho that would be silly)

not happy with price performance of the 1st turing generation comparing to pascal so i went pascal instead of a 2080... that was now replaced by the super version..
too much turing cards on the market.. its so silly!

with any luck i might upgrade after Ampere generation and by then hopefully ray tracing or whatever name they wanna call it, will be much matured and maybe prices more balanced than they are right now!

So EVGA/Nvidia, any chance you could offer us existing RTX20xx owners a driver/firmware upgrade, which would tune our cards up to, or close to, that of the new Super RTX20XX series cards?

The new RTX2060 Super card is said to be nothing more than a remarked RTX2070 w/8 GB of memory.

Should an RTX2050 Super card be released, it most likely will be nothing more than a remarked RTX2060.
