Where was the proof that they actually went up for sale if they sold out instantly?

Several post were made on the forums here during that time that Nvidia had cards in stock and they sold out very quick. I'm one of the people that made posts that cards were in stock at Nvidia's site. EDIT: Here is an email I received from Nvidia when I signed up to be notified when the GTX 1080 Ti was in stock.

I signed up for auto notify back then on the Nvidia site. Never got a stinking one. But I only did it for the 1080 and 1080Ti cards. Ended up paying up with an EVGA bundle deal. You can advertise them as free, will not cost you a cent if they are not in stock.

kram36 Nvidia did have them in stock, they just sold out fast because they did not raise the prices of their cards.
. kram36, You are a cool dude, but come on man, take the red pill already.
You need to take the red pill. Nvidia did have them for sale on their site without the price hikes, but they sold out very quickly. What did you want Nvidia to do? Stop sending GPU's to their partners like EVGA and only sell them on their website?
Oh i have, not just one, but the whole bottle to stay unplugged from the Nvidia brainwash programming It just works. That's the key word to wake the programming of denial you and many others have. FFS Kram, many members stated they are seeing high prices from Nvidia's partners when RTX GPUs were going to be released!! As per Ray Tracing, like i said before and many times going forward: If RT is the eye candy mother of all Graphics feature, why you do not see like MS XBox or Sony PS5 coming out with this feature integrated into the consoles? There are not even articles talking about MS or Sony being interested in this new RT tech or confirming the consoles will have RT this year. Again dude, wake up!! I understand you are trying to justify the reasoning in buying the RTX GPUs, but most reviewers and game developers do not!

I'm not programmed by Nvidia. I have more AMD video cards then I do Nvidia video cards. I think you're salty because you want an Nvidia card, but can't afford one. Why are MS and Sony not talking about putting Ray Tracing into their systems? Because it's expensive! That's why Nvidia RTX cards cost so much. Again dude, wake up, today's top tier tech is not cheap to manufacture. Even AMD's Radeon 7 card doesn't have the tech Nvidia's RTX cards do and will cost as much as the RTX 2080. That's a hard one to swallow.

I'm not brainwashed either. I buy Nvidia because they ALWAYS work for me....AMD/ATi? Never have. They've always been garbage from my view point. I'll buy Nvidia exclusively until they give me a good reason not to...and it would take multiple bad cards for me to decide to try AMD/ATi again. I do like the competition from AMD/ATi, but I won't buy their GPU's.

Today's tech is based on restrictions something you are not aware of. AMD's Radeon 7 have more memory and that's HBM2 memory dude! You think HBM2 is cheaper than DDR6? By all means prove it! wth are you talking about? Tensor cores, AI and Ray Tracing? you think that's not attainable for AMD? Again, GPU Tech is based on restrictions, there are 8K TVs now, dont you think us PC enthusiast would like to have a GPU that can handle and tear 8K resolutions apart? I know I would....and by the way, I can afford the GPU or GPUs many of you have, the thing i can not afford is giving out money for a freaking GPU that dies rapidly, can not overclocked the way I overclock, has a tech that not most of the games I play have. Nvidia is not even trying to pay Game developers to integrate patches to the existing games to support RT. so you tell me dude, who is the sucker as of now having a GPU that literately was sold to you with lies. The Radeon 7 cost the same as a RTX 2080 and offers less tech and will not tear 8K resolutions apart. It's a waste of money for gaming.

And i agreed with you on that. This is the 2nd time you are stating that and i will reply the same answer i gave you. It is up to the customer to buy the new Radeon 7....the new AMD GPUs are like a teaser of what is to come, trust me. AMD and Nvidia are playing with their customers urges of getting a new tech. This urge is what i call vanity! AMD/Nvidia want to see how many people get into their Vanity ride/mode to get the new/latest hardware they offer.

New tech is always going to be the forefront of any field. The question is whether its worth it to you the individual consumer, so yeah we can sit here and go back and fourth on this until we turn blue. But again on the Reviews site there is both for it and against it on if it is worth the premium that there asking. Yes AMD is going to release a card that is on par with Nvidia minus the RT cores that will cost around the same price as the RTX 2080 in this case it my be worth getting the RTX because of more tech that is up to you. Also there might be a market correction on the RTX cards later on Nvidia did it before on previous generations a while back or there won't it all depends on the sales and right now and Nvidia is not doing good so time will tell.

In January, Apple issued a rare cut in its revenue guidance citing weak demand from Chinese consumers.
Well be honest....most of the 'upgrades' have been sidegrades at best (cell phones)...and I think that kind of applies to Computers as well.

IMHO The price sucks - no arguing, but i love my RTX 2080TI and i love the RTX effects! And I am sure this is something Gamestudios would adapt to - makes GameDev a bit cheaper and gives a ++ to the looks. I do use RTX on 3440 × 1440, GFX Quality all in - and still in 90-60FPS in Multiplayer - I did not hope for more (except a better price tag). And doing RTX in real time (even if approximated) is NEW and is something that will stay - I knew people that said Voodoo stuff is bad - "no one needs it..." while Voodoo didnt make it, it did start what we are "looking at" today. And the 20xx also have some other nice features for VR - PiMax already implementing some aspects in their PiTool for the PiMax 5k and 8k.

kram36 No, I mean Thanks Nvidia.
Ok, good. Just wanted to make sure you're still basing comments on emotions rather than facts.
It's based off of pure facts. There is not a single ATi/AMD card on the market that can display this amount of realistic graphics like Nvidia RTX cards can. Thanks Nvidia.

Why is there still an Nvidia vs ATi/AMD war going on between consumers? It makes sense for them to do that, as competitors, but us doing that as consumers doesn't really amount to anything more than us having our own version of console wars. The thing is--we have PCs, so we have choices. We put our favorite parts into our PCs and play our favorite games. Under the hood, we may be different, but we play the same games. Can't it just be that? Can we not bring console drama to the relaxing world of PC gaming? I am sure y'all have noting to gain from your squabbling, anyway. Go play a game together and make up.

I'm pretty much of the "Buy what you like" opinion... If you like ATi/AMD, great, go buy it! If you like Nvidia, great! Go buy it! I dislike ATi/AMD, but that's my opinion, and doesn't HAVE to be someone elses.

No idea what card Nvidia was using, the video was posted in Jan 2019, so Nvidia has a lot of cards to choose from. Can you name a ATi/AMD card that can do what the Nvidia RTX card can do in that video? That's what my post is about. Thanks Nvidia!
