NVIDIA (NVDA) today reported revenue for the second quarter ended July 28, 2019, of $2.58 billion compared with $3.12 billion a year earlier and $2.22 billion in the previous quarter.
GAAP earnings per diluted share for the quarter were $0.90, compared with $1.76 a year ago and $0.64 in the previous quarter. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share were $1.24 compared with $1.94 a year earlier and $0.88 in the previous quarter.
 
“We achieved sequential growth across our platforms,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Real-time ray tracing is the most important graphics innovation in a decade. Adoption has reached a tipping point, with NVIDIA RTX leading the way.
 
So NVIDIA is actually looking very good financially and they are predicting a stronger 3rd quarter. 

I read a few articles about this and it seemed like the gaming sales portion were around 35% lower than last year ? 
  SO not sure how they call that a win ?... not losing as badly as predicted but still being lower than years before..

Crypto mining was responsible for the big boom and then drop for both AMD and Nvidia
so yeah no one is going to be back where they were under the mining boom
 
Gaming revenue, the star performer came in at $1.31 billion for the quarter up from the $1 billion 
thats a big deal
 
 
HPC boost is due to come in 3Q...there is a GTC in 3Q(in dec) on HPC and Ampere could be rolled out then
 

This was a nice bump in my stock portfolio.

My thoughts exactly.  They're just going through a correction from the crypto boom.

AI is suppose to be have a 50 Trillion dollar capitalization in the coming years
 
Nvidia controls 90%+ of that market currently
with best estimate for it to move to 80% with intel,google,tesla, AMD and others with the other 20%

Now you see Why INTEL moved to the discrete Card market

2018 was crazy mining time though, the numbers were all BS.
