Hi everybody, it's been a long time since I've been around, but I'm a little lost on this one.

My Classified Nex1500 PSU is still running strong from my triple 680 days. I'm currently running a 1080ti hydro copper in my system and I'm planning to take the plunge into a new GPU and will most likely go with a 4090.

I'm just trying to find out in advance if the PSU and the cabling will play nice with a 4090, or if I need a new PSU. I don't want to get the GPU and learn the PSU needs an upgrade just to run the card. Sooner or later I'll need a new PSU, but if I need one now that might change my thinking.

Sorry if this has been answers before, but I couldn't seem to find the answer if so.

It should work just fine.  One thing I would say is that the NEX1500 is aging at this point, so the load and response times from the 4090 may make it show its age, but it should be fully capable of running the 4090.

Thanks for the reply. I'd like to jump to an ATX 3.0 with my next build, but was hoping to just swap out the GPU this go time around until i figure out my next platform.
