Videocardz has reported that NVIDIA may release a GTX1160 GPU alongside the RTX2060 graphics card in mid-January. Since this is a rumour, I strongly suggest taking everything you are about to read with a grain of salt. NVIDIA may split branding into GeForce RTX and GeForce GTX series. As you’d suggest, the RTX series will be able to support Ray Tracing while the GTX series will be more “traditional” GPUs based on the Turing architecture. RTX2060 has gotta be a joke. The baseline minimum that I'd tolerate on performance is way above where that card would be for DXR. I'm sure someone with a marketing degree will counter my opinion with a very nice looking powerpoint though.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Custom Designs, Specifications Leak Out As Card Gets Listed Online By Retailers
Update (11/02/2019): While you are reading this, Videocardz has posted more images of a few more custom models coming in from EVGA and Palit. The specific model is the EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti XC (Black) and the Palit GeForce GTX 1660 Ti StormX. The EVGA cards come in a triple slot design with a seriously beefy heatsink and single fan cooler while the Palit variant comes in a dual-slot single fan design. The cards are said to launch officially of 22nd of February around the price points I previously mentioned below. The custom models are likely to cost a bit extra while giving you higher factory overclocks.
The latest leaks come from Videocardz who have not only managed to track some online listings but also got pictures of the first packaging of a custom design from an APAC AIB (Add-in-board) partner. The card in question is the GALAX GeForce GTX 1660 Ti which is a custom model offering dual fan cooler and OC capabilities. The card is mentioned to feature 6 GB GDDR6 VRAM, DirectX 12 support, ANSEL support and also has “Turing Shaders” which pretty much confirms that these cards will utilize the existing Turing GPU architecture.

Nvidia has to find a way to use foundry dies that did not make the cut for RTX. Those are huge chips & I would think the failure rate would be much higher than previous dies

I'm surprised EVGA doesn't have it on the front page yet. It will be interesting to see how it performs, I think. So will this new card forums go under the 10X series for this ?, .. or would it be list in the new 20xx series from where the core is based off from..?  I hope they aren't all those small sized, single fan varieties.

I would guess they will be single fan and that benchmarks will be very interesting since if it's able to give a performance of a 1070 it would be a very good option for the gamer still using 1440p monitors or less.
