Over the years I have done a few upgrades here and there using really old parts but this time, I am re-doing almost everything. I don't have the money to go crazy so some of the parts were budget or bought used but my main goal is something STABLE. I don't want to mess around with overclocking or fidgeting with stuff anymore, I just want a rig that works. With that being said, here is my list of parts for better or worse.

Case: Zalman Z3 Plus in white https://www.amazon.com/Za...3-Plus-W/dp/B00JQPGUEK
(I got this dirt cheap on a newegg shellshocker)
Motherboard: MSI B150M Bazooka https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Skylake-Motherboard-B150M-Bazooka/dp/B016AT9F5A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1495585028&sr=8-2&keywords=msi+bazooka
(Also dirt cheap on a shellshocker with a rebate)
CPU: I7 6700 (Did not get the K variant since I won't be overclocking and it was on ebay for a good deal)
CPU cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Hyper-RR-212E-20PK-R2-120mm/dp/B005O65JXI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1495585180&sr=8-1&keywords=212+evo
Because it just seems like the go-to for air cooling
Ram: Gskill Rip Jaws 16gb ddr4-2133 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231884
SSD: My old Samsung 250GB (for now) and may add at least a 500 GB ssd down the line
PSU: Ultra X3 1000 Watt (old but still going strong)
GPU: Hopefully by next week, I will have a MSI GTX 1080 from another member!!! WOOT WOOT!

The case is white and most of the parts are black. The front fan has a blue LED. The MSI GTX 1080 has a red theme but the side LED I believe can be changed to whatever color. The Ram has red heat spreaders. So I am wondering if I should go with a black, white and red theme and change the front fan and maybe get some red sleeving...
The front would look something like this...

Or should I plasti-dip the heat spreaders white and do some black/white sleeving and keep it strictly black and white and leave the stock fan so it looks like this in the front?

I know with a Bios update, I could have used a new I-7 7700 but with all the reports of temp spikes and stuff, it was easier to find a 6700 and the price was right.
What do you guys think?

System could use some EVGA parts in it. Maybe like an EVGA gaming mouse?

Really it looks like it should be a pretty good build.

HA HA. Yes in fact I have a Torq X5 that I love. If I have enough later, I was thinking about an Evga Power supply since my Ultra is pretty darn old.

Hey! I shouldn't get a blue ribbon ! I haven't built anything yet. LOL. I think I am going to go with red lighting since the ram and the 1080 are already read and the keys on my keyboard are red LEDs too. I was thinking about some fans like this...

The OP should go to https://www.evga.com/myevga/ to see which mod gave him the BR.

Well we can always remove the BR if you wish. I went ahead and removed the ribbon and we'll monitor the progress of this build.

Ok, I will keep the thread updated as I finish it. All parts are bought and just waiting for them to arrive. This is going to be fun!

Gtx 1080 MSI arrived yesterday and most of my sleeving is done .Ordered a second SSD and I had to make my own dual tray since this case only takes one SSD and I didn't want to buy an adapter plate and wait. Hopefully soon I'll post some pictures and updates. This case has a little bit of issues with the wire management but I'm doing the best I can.

Ok, I have finally finished. I know the name "Melting Ice" is kinda lame but I couldn't think of anything better...The wire management was a pain in the butt with this case but I hid them the best I could. I sleeved some of the cables but I really didn't want to de-pin everything so the sleeving could have looked better. I had 2 plastic 2.5 SSD from some other case that I modded to work with this one side by side. The fans were a hassle to swap out and I really wish the front fans were brighter. The top exhaust fans run a tad on the loud side when cranked but I think I am going to live with them. The Gtx 1080 sure is a big card and I wish there was some kind of support other than the mounting screws but I suppose a lot of 1080s are mounted this way. I wish the fan controllers LEDs were red to match but oh well. It runs quiet and stable so far. I haven't got to game on it yet as I have been super busy but I did run it though 3D mark Firestrike and it seemed to do ok I suppose. I think the GPU hit 69 under load and the CPUs temp maxed out at 44 so I can't complain. I updated my mod rigs and hopefully, it will stay running smooth. For the record, I am sporting a matching white with red led EVGA Torq X5 mouse that is not pictured.

Nice build man! I like Zalman products, they make some decent fans that are quiet. How about changing the name to Ice Fire, or Ice hot, or reverse of either. Must add some pics in MR, I know you said you are busy. But we all know, if not done = 2 demerits. And you could have gone either red or blue, and it would look great either way. Good job!

Since this build is done, am I supposed to get a br? Technically, the new DVD drive already crapped out on me and has to be replaced so I guess I'm not "done" lol.
