My evga sc15 keyboard has stopped working

Had the laptop for about 4 months and the keyboard stopped working all of a sudden. (Mouse and everything else works) I did a shutdown hoping it will fix the issue and now the laptop screen won’t turn back on. Backlight on the keyboard is on and so are the fans.

    Try clearing the cmos. Simply stick a pin inside the following hole to reset the cmos...

    Are you still have issues with your laptop, were you able to resolve this issue? If not do you know what BIO's version is on the laptop?

    Yes my issue has been resolved. Just drained the battery and turned it back on. Though I am a bit worried that this problem my happen again in the future.

    Some parts of my keyboard also stopped working as well, including the power button. The only way to turn on my SC15 was to use the CMOS hole and problems still persisted after clearing the CMOS. I assume it's a hardware issue rather than the software. Now i am outside of US and will be visiting in December to get it replaced.
     
    Things i have tried but to no avail - 
             Clearing the CMOS
             Factory reset 
             Upgraded the Bios (Now on Bios 1.06)
     
    How long will the replacing process take (from the date of shipment)?

    That would have me concerned too. I don't know how often that kind of problem happens on a laptop. Do you wait to see if it happens again or do a warranty claim while it's still under warranty.

    Having the same issues, getting pretty annoying :(..... About to jump ship for a Overpower wallyworld laptop.

    Ive had the same thing. No wonder these laptops were on sale with such a heavy discount. Something is clearly fundamentally wrong with them.
