Figured I'd show you all what I ended up doing with that RX 6700 XT I found at Best Buy. I decided to upgrade my HTPC build with it. Nothing super fancy just went for a clean red and white theme in a NZXT H210 case. Massive upgrade from the GTX 1050Ti that was in it previously. Now instead of streaming games to the living room TV I can just play them there if I want as this 6700XT has some pretty decent grunt under the hood. Some quick benchmarks here which aren't too bad considering the i7 8700 CPU is going on 5 years old at this point. 10,932 in Time Spy https://www.3dmark.com/spy/21784490 6,108 in Port Royal https://www.3dmark.com/pr/1147708 Specs: Intel i7 8700 AMD RX 6700 XT ASRock Z370m iTX/AC 16GB Apacer 2933Mhz EVGA BR 600W PSU NZXT H210 case. Well, as with everything I build I can't just leave well enough alone So I upgraded the CPU to an i9 9900 and swapped the RX 6700 XT for a RTX 3060 Ti. Still the same look and aesthetic, but now with more EVGA flavor Ran a few benchmarks with the card overclocked to 2055Mhz core/ 16Ghz memory with a 108% power target. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/22593967 While at first glance it looks like I picked up about 800 points, it's really just from the CPU upgrade that I gained as the graphics scores between the 2 cards is virtually identical at 11.9k. However, where there was real gain was in RT performance where I picked up 1.5k in score at 7632 vs 6108 on the RX 6700 XT https://www.3dmark.com/dxr/90878 and this was just turned into a bloodbath when looking at pure path traced performance in RT where the RTX 3060 Ti doubled the RT performance of the RX 6700 XT 14.15fps - RX 6700 XT https://www.3dmark.com/dxr/81026 28.20fps - RTX 3060 Ti https://www.3dmark.com/dxr/90878 Not surprising as the RDNA 2 cards were never touted as DXR beasts, but AMD has a LOT of work to do in the DXR department to be competitive in a feature set comparison.

😎👍 extremely clean. Superb cable management
T hose who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. Thanks guys, as for cable management the H210 made it easy despite it being a small case it has plenty of room in the PSU basement to tie cables down as well as cable management channels on the back plate and plenty more tie down points making it super easy to tie down or tuck away what wasn't needed. This is the first NZXT case I've built in and I must say I'm not disappointed. I think it came out clean and tidy while also being half the size of my other 2 rigs

Thanks It never really occurred to me but a friend was over and commented on my "patriotic" choice of colors for my main gaming machines. Now I've never been a 'murica type of guy but he has got me here it seems Current state of my main gaming PC Current state of my main VR gaming PC .....now this HTPC....... That's the good ole "red, white and blue" right there for sure. I honestly didn't intend it to be like that lol I was just leaning into the theme of each build with Intel usually associating themselves with blue and AMD red/orange. I didn't want a red and blue HTPC so I decided on a neutral accent color in white for the HTPC build and well, here we are

Now to complete the process, I recommend you replace that rear fan on the HTPC with a blue color. All in jest of course. Nicely done!

Ultra clean little build there. I like the simplicity of it, HTPCs do not have to be overwhelming monsters, they just need to get the job done nicely. It looks like yours does that in spades!
