Was working fine for months and then my display just cut out. I removed the video card and it looked ok, but when I went to go plug it back in I noticed the cables had melted inside the card... Now the GPU isn't working... Not sure if it's safe to keep using the PSU either, I really can't afford this right now. I've never had a problem with an EVGA PSU, they were always my go-to. of course, this is a couple of months after the 2-year warranty ended.

Was just a Srtix RX 480 8GB, the PSU was an EVGA 750W (100-N1-0750)

Usually wires melt when something is pulling too much power through them. The power supply gives what is requested, so the GPU may have been pulling more power than it should have.

I have attached the picture for you.

Most of the PSU have a 5 or 10 year warranty so if it's only been two years you might want to contact them and make sure it's expired.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

According to the warranty page, it's only a 2 year, it's the base model 750W not the gq or better
