Bought an EVGA 3090 XC3 Ultra on 29 Dec 2020, registered at EVGA on 1/15/2021, receipt submitted.
 
Can someone explain why there is no step up options for this card, as in a 3090 FTW3 or Kingpin?

    To stop people buying it just to step up and jump ahead of the line of people waiting for KPE cards.

    You missed the first window for step up (14 days after purchase to register requirement) and need to purchase an extended warranty to open it back up for the full 90 days.
     
    The 3090 FTW3 is on the step up list, at least for the US. Limited run cards like the kingpin and hybrid have never been on the step up list, and likely never will be.

    Thanks, did not see that in the description for the step up program. I saw the 90 days a few times and did not read the whole page.

    I purchased the 5 year warranty and than was able to step up easily.

    None, 3090 FTW3 is the highest you can go currently and probably for the foreseeable future.

    To the best of my knowledge, none.

    FWIW, you can get the FTW3 hybrid kit and install it yourself if you're looking for a slight upgrade.

    It’s because that is the step up if you want a 3090 and Kingpin cards are not available to step up to so it’s like best card.
