Hello All,

One of EVGA's partners, JPR is conducting a survey regarding multiple monitor usage.  If you have the time, please take a few minutes to take this survey to help JPR ensure a large sample size.  I would estimate it will take 3-10 minutes.  It took me around 4 minutes to complete.

A Message About the Survey From JPR:

The use of multiple monitors dates back to the beginning of the PC age (1981) when multiple display controller boards (as they were called then) had to be used and custom drivers employed.  Since then multiple concepts for driving multi-screens have been developed and evolved to today where the Windows and IOS operating systems can easily handle the management of multiple displays and even integrated graphics can (for most situations) drive them. The question of should you use multi-monitors has become, why wouldn’t you?  JPR is conducting a new survey on the use of multiple monitors and would like your input.

In 2003, we launched a study into the benefits of multiple monitors. It was well received, and by popular demand, we did an update in 2012. That too was very well received, and so we are launching a new survey and study now.

You can find the survey here:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/EVGA

Thanks in advance!
Rob

Some of the questions fit rather oddly. Like how much productivity in % was gained.

Some of the questions fit rather oddly. Like how much productivity in % was gained.

It means how efficient/faster your workflow is by having multiple programs/windows open with 2 monitors instead of just 1. I can say that now in days businesses are using 2 monitors to separate tasks on each monitor, something you couldn't do with 1 monitor in the past. Some people are faster with the keyboards shortcuts, but it takes 2 seconds to access the programs with the Windows Key + Tab short cut: 1) to look at the keyboard, and 2) find the program click with the mouse, with dual monitors all you need to do is look at the task bar and click, or just simply look at the monitor and click the small program window you want access to.
I don't have a problem having multiple programs opened with one monitor, all i do is split the monitor in two with one program to the right and the other one to the left.  Simply put, click and drag the browser window and drag it all the way to the side of the monitor (left or right) till the window of the software opened becomes fully divided in half of the monitor.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Done. I don't know how others feel about it, but for me, I don't personally care for multiple monitors. Even if the bezels are super thin, its still somewhat distracting/annoying. If anything, I'd go for an ultrawide if I wanted more screen real estate.

    Taken
I had several jobs before that utilized 2 screens. Also one of the jobs I had was hell when they took away our second screen D:
But at home, I'm good with 2 screens. Though I may be adding a third in the near future and maybe 4th for surround. Waiting to see the new line up :)
My current 2nd is technically a 4kTV above my main monitor.

Survey done. At work, I mainly use the second monitor as a short-term memory, I put the data needed there without loosing the focus on the main screen or simply the documentation. At home, the second monitor is used to browse internet during the loading times in video-games
