Hello,
I haven't been on the forums in a LONG time.  I have used EVGA products in the past but that was in the x58 days.   I have a few questions.
The motherboard I was using atm is an Asrock z170 extreme 7+ it's a great board however the first PCI-E slot got damage while shipping my house hold items back home*Guam*.  I have been looking at replacing it with a new motherboard I have a few choices and I have been always going back to the z270 FTW k or the same extreme 7+ board.
I hate the direction of the RGB shinanagens.
Any thoughts on the Z270 FTW K or should I just stick with a Z170 board?

go with the 270, some newer features and the slot spacing is better

Evga z270 motherboards just went on sale! If you have the extra space in your case for a eATX motherboard then I would take advantage of the sale and grab the classified k

I would compare detailed specs and features before deciding on which motherboard to get. If you plan on using onboard audio, you will want to look at ASUS, GIGABYTE and MSI motherboards. Do you want or care about overclocking from the desktop or want to control system fans from the desktop.

You can disable the RGB lighting in the BIOS. Even if you don't use them, you still get better specs and more features for less money.
