According to the manual, the USB 3.1 Gen2 headers 'will function similarly to the USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port sometimes found on a motherboard’s rear I/O hub,'.
 
Does that mean they are AsMedia USB headers?

    OK.
     
    Since I am using W7, and there are no Intel USB drivers for the Dark, does anyone know of a way to adapt a device that uses the motherboard USB 2.0 header to use the motherboard 3.1 Gen2 (AsMedia) header? I have spent hours searching the internet, but have found no answer.
