I was just thinking about the entire cyber punk 2077 fiasco and read an article about it and that led me to wonder if the general gaming community viewed it as one of the worst gaming launches in history? (And if not what game is?) I personally believe that it was the worst because of the insane amount of hype that led to its launch.

SimCity 2013, it had a disastrous launch. It kinda funny looking back on it, but I was so hyped for that game for some reason.

Battlefield 4 or diablo 3 were the worst for me lol. I think that was when i decided to never pre order anything ever again cause i guess games werent gauranteed to work on launch anyways

Batman AK came to mind when I read the title of this thread. I rarely buy a game at release because they're usually bugged and/or don't play very well, but with this game I bought it on release day. It was so bad with bugs & close to unplayable. I got a refund for it on Steam, waited a few months, and bought it again at 50% off and all patched up. I did enjoy it after that.

battlefield 4 launch was terrible but love it now and WOW at launch was bad not enough servers and queues times were terrible

Some of these here (such as D3 at launch) were just plain bad more than just launch issues. However, in terms of worst launch there are worse. D3 at least was playable within a day. WoW and AO were both broken for extended periods. I might give it to WoW since from recollection the server issues and major bugs like eternal mining were around for months in some cases.

For me it was absolutely No Mans Sky, terrible at launch but they seem to have turned the game around, fun to play with some friend with game pass

Although dayz wasnt a full release initially it was still way below my expectations when they put out the standalone. I think they turned it around now but ive just lost interest.

Lots of people will forget this game - Brink. It wasn't really sure what it wanted to be. The single player and multiplayer blurred together far too much for my liking and I never really understood what was happening in the story. It felt like everything was happening for no reason.
