    Pretty darned funny!

Maybe Nvidia will get a clue and massively drop the 4080's MSRP. Or maybe not and gamers will just continue to get offended when sales people try and get them to buy one instead of something else that is out of stock.

Basically NVIDIA and AMD think they're still in the era of scarcity and scalping.

    Hence the idiotic pricing.

    Pass.

The high end of any enthusiast or hobbyist item is always ridiculously expensive. Whether it's cars, audiophiles, etc. Demand is what creates the market for these products.
Last I checked, a top end GPU for gaming isn't on the list of sustenance type purchases like food and shelter. The video tried, but whining about it, is stale and isn't that funny regardless of how clever they tried to be.

Comparing a 4080 buyer to an audiophile snake oil sales sucker, doesn't speak very highly of people who buy these video cards. lol. Absolute nonsense is common sense in that sphere.
These cards are being sold to people NVIDIA knows already made up their mind. Very few actually "need" these cards.
Until we have competition, these prices will stay high. Consumers aren't able to keep the prices regulated otherwise. Too many just can't help themselves.

The one thing I consider is that with GPU being in this price range it’s not something developers will figure the majority of gamers will have. Even my 3080 FTW3 Ultra will probably remain a card I can sent everything to Ultra settings or High for two to four years in the future because of the price increase we saw last generation and the limited supply of cards. Someone who buys a 4080 will likely have a card that is good for four or six years as long as they don’t run into a problem like a cable melting.

On the other hand, you notice how every year, games seem to manage to tax even the latest and greatest if you crank the settings up enough at 4K. It is not going to decrease.

I bought a 4080 and this is still funny. I mean he's not wrong and I'd feel bad but I bought a 2080Ti for the same price 4 years ago. These and the 4090's are comically large though, I can't even close my case up. Games run at higher frames so there is that.

Comparing a 4080 new sealed box and ebay 3090(ab)used miners card price (in order to compare price/performance ratio) instantly eliminate equation credibility.
    Stopped to watch there.

Comparing it to an equal value PC was completely fair, it's shaved down to the point they would not even bother with a new cooler says loads.

Seeing that this 4080 card is still all over store shelves despite only having about 1/4 the stock release of the 4090 says plenty, price might hold through Christmas but I bet it's discounted next year to where it should have launched .

If that happens EVGA made the right call. While NVIDIA can raise and lower the MRSP board partners still built the cards at the current prices. If they lower the price $300 then the board partners might have lost money making the cards.

It’s also really bad for retailers who buy the card at a slightly lower price than MSRP right now if in the future it drops drastically. While it’s expensive they really don’t make a lot off of electronics in profit off each item. If they get burned after the 3090ti price drop again on the 4090 and 4080 they might discount graphics cards.

I use to enjoy his channel, but after everything with the divorce, he had a completely different tone that I didn’t enjoy about his channel anymore. This was a pretty fun video, so I will give him a few tries to see if it gets better with time.

It was amusing....Not a huge Bitwit fan, but it amused me this time.

Same I usually don't care for his reviews in general but this one was pretty funny.

I use to enjoy his channel, but after everything with the divorce, he had a completely different tone that I didn’t enjoy about his channel anymore. This was a pretty fun video, so I will give him a few tries to see if it gets better with time.

He really fell off after the divorce. Which is understandable but also his reviews in general even before that were just lacking depth or much else other than a "here's some numbers" approach. He does have a good sense of humor though and his "Lyle" videos were entertaining at least most of the time.
