Im new at this mining stuff. i have been mining with minergate and i have hashrate around 350h/s and im mining monero.
My hardware is i5 procesor first generation, 4gbDDR3 and GTX 760 TI.
As i go thru web i see that everybody is saying that they have, with the same graphic card, rate around 14Mh/s, how do they get it?
If somebody can help me or explain me how does this work.

Minergate steals your hashing power and under reports what you are getting.  STOP USING IT.  The biggest problem with mining Monero is the size of the transaction that you need to make.  With your old hardware, you're honestly better off to just use nicehash instead and get bitcoin, as it will literally take you months to get the proper amount of Monero saved before you can even withdraw it (most pools the default value is 1 Monero which will take you about 2.5 years to mine that much), prior to even losing a massive amount of it to fees.

I have a 750 TI and i'm in that boat.  I use ccminer though and it doesn't take a cut.  The best coin i've found lately is mining VIVO using a pool.  Go to coinmarketcap.com to find VIVO and there will be a link to their ANN (announcement) thread.  There you can find pools that you can join..find one that is getting the most blocks.  Try it for a few days and see if you get any coin....if not, try a different algorithm...some GPUS don't like certain algorithms without tweaking/configuring the miner properly.  Best bet is try a few different algorithms to see which works best for stock configuration.

I'm think the hashrates you've heard people getting 14mh/s is not for monero.  According to mining profitability calculators, if you were getting 14 mh/s mining monero you would be making $27,000 USD per day.

Each card gets a different hashrate for each of the different algorithms.  Monero uses Cryptonight algo (algorithm).  And according to nicehash website, my GPU (750 TI) should get about 250 h/s....which seems reasonable considering what you are getting currently.  Go to nicehash profitability calculator to get a good estimate of the hashpower of the different cards and for each algorithm.  They don't have your card, but the 750 Ti is probably the closest one in their list.   I trust them for their data because they have so many people renting their hash power to them so they have a lot of data.

Yeah the rates are based on averages.

Mining btc with asic has the same outcome like mining altcoin with gpu

That is literally the biggest reason i refuse to use nicehash. Waiting till you get .1BTC before you can withdraw is insane.

What are you using to mine? A lot of times the mining software is the issue. I would start at zcash.flypool dot org the software is available for each OS on that page.

That is totally incorrect. What you mine matters. Each has its one difficulty/value/hash rate. Whereas Asics have dominated the sha-256 and scrypt algorithms.

Gpu is my love affair because of its flexibility.

after the scandal with nicehash it feels like your playing Russian roulette by using it, better off learning how to use awesome miner and miningpool hub, plenty of youtube videos on how to set it up , its a lot easier then you might think.

    As far as mining Monero.
supportxmr.com lets you adjust the payout to .1 XMR; however I am new to mining as well and am experimenting with different things to see what suits my ROI (time/investment). I might not stick with XMR but it was a good first stop in the learning process. Worst case, just wait until my small amount goes up VS BTC, then exchange.

I used nicehash for a while recently and had no problem with it.  You can transfer any accumulated BTC to coinbase for free.  The key is to use their internal wallet because the limits are lower.  Yes, I know this puts some funds at risk before you can transfer them.
