This is such sad news... I had no idea he had passed away. He helped me out more than once here and other forums. Yes, he will be greatly missed. Soar above my friend and know that you will always be here in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends alike. RIP big guy...

I don't like reopening an old post like this but I'd like to make an exception. There has been several bad posts on reddit lately stating that Mike took his own life. These statements are completely false.
 
Final determination of Mike's death was determined to be a blood clot that traveled to his heart during the night he died. I personally do not know if the accident he had to his knee weeks before his death contributed to this event.

Really sad to think that people on Reddit would make a post like that years later since it's harder for people to find the true cause so they are more likely to believe a lie and at this point the only thing it does is hurt his family and friends to have his legacy tarnished like that.

I remember him and always wondered what had happened to him. I believe he helped me on a few issues when I was frequent on their forums.  May he RIP!
 
As for some online, they'll exploit one's death or misery for attention.  Don't feed the trolls is what I say at the end of the day and they should ignore the tabloid/click bait news.

If you want to correct people, shouldn't you do it on reddit. A bit weird to bump this old thread, when no one here said he took his own life.
