Wife: “It’s BIG. It’s blocking our doorway”
Me: “I know”
Wife: “It’s really #### BIG. What is it”
Me: “The remote missile launcher I ordered from N Korea”
Wife: “ok, well, I’m just gonna leave out here”
Me: “I’ll be home by 5:30”

Very nice and great choice in case.  You might need a engine hoist to move that thing around.

What are you using to control the pumps and monitor temps, etc.?

Good question... I think Corsair has a built in controller iCue, or something like that. They have a pretty sophisticated controller on that case. Haven’t used it yet.

But might just preset in the bios... otherwise maybe too complicated.

Yeah, it’s gonna get hefty...

I used to mine. Now I compute.

The 1000d has a Commander Pro built in so with iCUE Corsair software you can really beef up your RGB. I also use iCUE software to control my fan speeds.

Fan and RGB will be fine tuning for when Rachel is ready for her grand appearance :-)

So, going to try something and see if it works... bitspower’s thick radiator series “Leviathan” has high density fins, same as their thinner rads - 16 fpi

Going with a push-pull 280 54mm thick rad to cool the gpus... I know what your thinking... not enough... well, I’m gonna give it a go. These are very dense 100% copper fins and the 360 is too busy looking. I’m guessing the single 280 with push-pull corsair ml fans and 2 pumps in series will move heat off of h2o sufficiently to get me back to +5 ambient under long sustained loads. This cooling 4 1080ti type cards (one is an xp - same thing).

I hope you enjoy your new build. DREMEL FTW!!!!  Nice fans. I am a bit worried about the new 280 rad for the four GPU's. Even though it's a thicker rad.... May work if not pushed too hard. Curious how it goes. Other than that it's coming along nicely.

Yeah, it’ll be interesting. I’m banking on brass piping also contributing to heat loss. I’ll put 2 more fans in back to get solid airflow in-out.

If necessary, I can squeeze a 420 in there - but that’ll come very close to pumps. I’ve kinda committed to the 140 unit / fan size. Want to make that form factor work.

Hydraulically, it’s a bit of a mess, lots of fitting / minor losses doing a loopty-loop to kp block.

Thus... the 2 pumps...

Good news, and bad news... fired it up and it ran like a charm... until the pump block started to leak.

I howled with fury and took the whole thing apart... and then noticed I forgot to put an O-Ring gasket in the threaded socket...

Hey, at least nothing was actually damaged than just a simple fix being needed.  It's a bummer having to take it all apart but I have faith with another leak test (12+ test if you didn't completely take apart the loop or make it 24 hours if you did), you'll be up and running in no time.

Did it leak during leak testing or did you have the system fully up and running when it happened?

Leak test. Only pumps running. A slow steady leak right at the pump-block interface.

Took a couple hours to figure where it was coming from. No harm, no foul. But kinda frustrated 🤨🤨🤨

Plenty of inlet head / pressure. Probably should have dialed back to 3. Much quieter today though.

Not going to get down to sleeving now - I’d have to reset wires into plug - which while not difficult - is a hassle.

Going to marvel at the beast for a few weeks then get more into aesthetics.
