The era of the power-hungry graphics card beings. MSI’s upcoming SUPRIM X graphics card based on NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti SKU is to require at least a 1000W power supply. The graphics card alone will have a default TDP of 480W, 30W higher than the original RTX 3090 model.

The alleged specs supposedly confirm that the card will feature 21 Gbps memory, being the first NVIDIA graphics card to do so. Thanks to the premium custom cooling solution, the card will be able to boost up to 1900 MHz in Extreme Mode, which requires MSI Control Center software. Interestingly, this model will be powered by three 8-pin power connectors, rather than a single 16-pin power connector. It is unclear why MSI opted for the traditional power connectors instead of using a single PCIe Gen input that can feed up to 600W. The RTX 3090 Ti was originally planned to launch alongside RTX 3050 on January 27th. Just 10 days away we are not sure if this is still happening. NVIDIA promised to provide an update on this SKU later this month, while the latest rumors suggest there are some issues with the production.

What scares me about this model is what the price might be at retailers.

I really hope that those leaked prices from the EU are placeholders.  I am interested in the 3090 Ti, but if the price versus value is what I personally consider ridiculous, I'll probably pass.

Another expensive card for the miners, thats great news.. now if the coin business were to collapse that would be great.

Even miners will shy away as the ROI would take a very long time.

I've seen stories of around $3600.
More troubling is the stories of Nvidia telling manuf's to halt production on it due to issues already....just like the early regular 3090

10% jump in performance 30% jump in price..  I think they got the ratio backwards.

I am not scared of the retailers, I am going to be laughing at the scalpers. These cards will be $6,000+ when the bots buy them up. Hopefully this will bring the current 3090 prices down. If not, I’ll pass.

let the scalpers have them ( miners too) tho i do really think these card are good for gfx editing and such!

i just want decent pricing on a SOLID 4080 when it arrives! will all this going on its obvious gen 4000 will have same problem that gen 3000 did

i do believe we might see some stability by gen 5000
