This virus has done wonders for my spending. I used to commute 60 miles a day, $300 in tolls a month, daily lunches out about $10 a day so about $200+ In lunches a day. Then add on gas refill every week. Now I’m spending no money on tolls, not using any gas at all maybe fill once a month. Eating lunch at the house and the whole family is not going out for dinner. The savings have been tremendous and we have now gotten used to it. Or as my wife would say “I’ve been social distancing before it was required”.
In the 6 months of WFH, I think I've put maybe 300 miles on my F-150...

We experienced a similar situation. We put 300 ish on our 2018 Crew cab Lariat. $60k vehicle rotting in our garage. We sold it last month and moved on. Our BMW X3 M has about 1000 miles on it during the same period. Very sad really. No checks for us. We are pleased to see something goin out for those that get them though.

You try not to make comments based upon political/party affiliation. The only reason we don't talk politics on the forum is because of fights. So comments about the stimulus use is fine, but getting into comments about parties will most certainly lead to problems and heated discussions.

To stop the bickering and try to help Americans that need it rather than politicizing everything, he has said he will immediately sign a stand-alone bill for the $1,200 stimulus checks with nothing else in it. If the House still refuses to do it.....

Frankly we should never have gotten the first 'stimulus' check. Shouldn't get a second....and government should never have stopped a 22 trillion dollar economy because "dur...scared"....We're putting our Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandchildren in debt.

I'm not a recipient of any stimulus checks or any other benefit, and I continue to work full time. I fail to see the need to provide unemployment benefits that exceed whatever the individual was earning when gainfully employed. I do understand the need to prop up the economy though.

If someone "needs" stimulus checks they probably shouldn't be buying pc hardware...
Like others have said, the point of these checks are putting money back into the economy. They WANT you to spend it on business/products.
