Hi all, I won a Z690 Dark Kingpin from EVGA's 23rd anniversary event (which is amazing, thanks so much!)  Only issue is my current case, which is a Corsair Carbide Spec-04 doesn't support E-ATX boards. I was looking into the Corsair 4000x and was wondering if anyone knew if they would work okay together and if not, could I get some recommendations? thanks for any advice!

    Cases I know work:
be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 v2
    Corsair 7000D
    Lian Li PC-011D XL / pc-o11d-rog
    Thermaltake Core P8, Level 20, A700 (maybe), Tower 900
Fractal Torrent (not the compact or nano, but the full size should work)

You want to pay extra attention to where the motherboard power cables have to route (due to the width of the board) and the space underneath the motherboard, because some of the connectors point down. The Corsair 5000D/X cases for example fit the motherboard fine, but you can't plug some of the stuff into the bottom of the motherboard without some modifications to the case (i.e. cutting some holes).

Oh okay, I see what you mean about the bottom connectors, I'll keep that in mind and check out some of those cases you listed, thanks!

There may be plenty of others, but those are just the ones I've seen that look like they'll work.

You don't really have to cut the 5000D. Although you may want to smash it and throw it away

When I wanted to plug something in the bottom after the build was complete I removed the gpu, removed all motherboard screws, shifted the board to the right and up a few millimeters both directions. Then I carefully, while praying, tilted the board up from the bottom and plugged in the front panel audio connector. Then as I carefully lowered the bottom edge I carefully smashed the little audio wires against the connector. Then shifted the board back in place. I did not have to removed the aio pump block.

In summary I would discourage anyone with an EVGA motherboard from getting a 5000 series case In fact I'll never buy another one.

For my Dark Kingpin build my plan B is Corsair 7000D. Plan A is the new Lian Li 011 EVO XL which can fit 3 420mm rads. But I don't know if I can stay patient for nobody-knows-how-long for it's release. The current 011 XL has the ROG logo on it and I don't want to look at that.

Also, about the 5000D, the Classified and Dark Kingpins would extend to the grommet opening making cable runs awkward and most likely require removing that stupid (IMO) cable cover.
