I'm looking for a test bench so I can "test" my new hardware when it arrives. A water cooling compatible test bench is not needed. It has to support a E-ATX motherboard. Looking to spend around $150 or less.

Something like this should do the job: HighSpeed PC Half-Deck Tech Station - Large (EATX) /Red
$94, free shipping, no tax apparently.

or here's one from the same company, $145 because of the additional bottom shelf as opposed to neoprene mat:
HighSpeed PC Top Deck Tech Station - Large (EATX) /Black

More than I want to spend but I'm looking at the LDCooling PC-V4 bench. I have the PC-V8 case which I'll be building a new system in 2018.

What are the benefits of having a test bench versus just putting it together on a table. making sure everything is grounded properly and no shorts

I think a bench would be a little more sturdy that just the surface of a table.

What I did is just use my current case, really wanted to test my graphics cards with my current MB and Windows 7.
