I used to use Microsoft Front Page HTML editor to convert text to HTML, but I no longer have it available.

I want to write in plain text, and have it converted to simple HTML.   I don't remember HTML beyond just a few components < html > < P > < br > and of course how to end a line\ paragraph\break, so I'm basically looking for a "for dummies" converter that can output as simple HTML i.e. without all the headders, body, etc...

Tried BlueGriffon...  I don't remember enough HTML to use it
Tried Notepad++ if I save as HTML it's just plain text...

Have a look at Sublime Text - may or may not help you, but it's a good for coding. Also it's free for evaluation (full program).

HTML is super easy to learn. It probably would be worth taking a day to learn it instead of leaning on a WYSIWYG crutch for decades.

From my understanding, services like Squarespace continue where Frontpage left off. Might be worth looking into.

You get out of it what you want to get out of it....

in my case I used Front Page 2003 to learn HTML.  After about a month I was able to do most of my stuff in Notepad, then open in FP to format text font, size, color, etc...  But it's been about 18 years since I've used it.

Once I figured out how to use BlueGriffon, it all the basics started coming back to me!  Some of the more advanced stuff may take a bit longer.
