You think that a bad drive could cause the computer to go completely dead ? I will try another drive to see what happens

You have changed out a few things... There are all kinds of horrifying scenario's I could give ya, but it's most likely something silly and you have not exhausted all of your troubleshooting. It could be a bad drive or bad SATA cable or port, maybe one of the ends got torqued down a little too much.

I swapped out both drives and still no luck and I actually put them in another computer and they work just fine. I appreciate all the help you guys have been but I think I’m done trying to remedy this computer and I’m just gonna start a new build and I’ll salvage what I can ( probably not much) from from the old one.

Bummer dude.  Maybe start a build thread.  Did you RMA the 2080 or are you going to hold off?

I started the process to RMA it but not sure what I should do, since now I’m not sure if there is anything wrong with it. Only way I’ll be able to test it is when I build the system with water cooling since the card needs to be water cooled. I’ve picked up a few parts already towards the new build...

ASRock Phantom 4
16 GB of Corsair Vengeance 3200 DDR 4
EVGA DG 7 Case
EVGA 850 Watt PSU

I actually built the new system with the parts I listed above. I didn’t have the extra cash to build a whole new water loop at this point so I purchased the hybrid cooler for the video card. And so far The card is working perfectly, looks like it was definitely something wrong with my old cpu and / or motherboard.

Wow that's fantastic, great to hear it's finally working.  Are you planning to go back to a custom loop eventually or stick with the hybrid?  Need to keep the waterblock to have warranty on the card, to return it to stock for rma.

I think I’m definitely going to do the custom loop when I get the extra time and cash. I really want to do it with hard tubing, so I think I’m going to start off by just buying some tubing and practice the bending. I have the water block all wrapped up and stored in the original box, hopefully I will only need it to do the water block and not for an RMA.

Nice!  I'm going to hopefully be doing the same thing, upgrading my soft tubing to hard tubing.  I got a heat gun for Christmas so I just have to get some tube and the silicone insert thing and practice practice practice :)
