I know this card is quite old, but I seem to recall seeing somewhere on these forums that the old firmware updates are still available if you ask for them? I'm using linux, and the card has worked great for years, but as of a few months ago it has started to randomly freeze. It seems fairly likely that it's a software driver issue... and so my thought is maybe that if I update my GPU BIOS then it'll be less likely to trigger whatever bug is occurring (as presumably whoever is maintaining the Nouveau drivers keeps the cards they test on up to date).

I've got a GTS 450, 1024 MB GDDR5, appears to have BIOS 70.06.1f.00.01. Shows up as:

NVIDIA Corporation GF106 [GeForce GTS 450] (rev a1) eVga.com. Corp. Device 1450

Thanks for your support!

You need to contact EVGA and they will need to know the exact model number and serial number from the back of your video card. This is a user-to-user forum. Contact EVGA directly.
