With all the name changes, new card variations, and "upgrades" I am lost now when trying to find a complete list of cards that support NVLink.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Or a more sober note: is NVLink a dead horse?  should I just buy a single top of the line card?? I guess the more important topic is where do I find a list of GAMES that support NVLink?

For gaming you are always going to be better off with a single top of the line card over two lesser cards together. It's been that way for a decent bit now and it looks very unlikely things will change anytime soon.

Unfortunately in the current state of PC gaming...( & the past 6+ yrs.)....you'd be better off running with 1 single powerful card .

Only a small handful of games even partially work OK with SLI (NVLINK ) ... most Devs spend time trying to optimize for console love ( 1 dedicated video integrated )
You will be spending your time tinkering to get SLi to work , with maybe a 30% increase ..etc...etc..

Does anyone have a source for a list of games that DO support NVLink?  I thought nVidia published one and kept it updated but I cant find it now.
It seems that NVLink is geared towards AI and other data heavy computational tasks now.

Mostly its hard to find a true list its usually better if your interested in a game just check it out and see if it will use the sli/nvlink technology right from the manufacturer home page for the game.

Here is a link that shows alot of them.    https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_games_that_support_SLI  and also here is some  https://www.build-gaming-computers.com/sli-supported-games.html             As said by several one single card is great and yes i agree. However i always love having the SLI/Nvlink  capability when its available.  I have been running dual cards for years and though not as popular as it used to be when it can be used its great. If you play a game that doesn't support it oh well you don't usually have to do anything anyway just play your game, in few instances do you have to disable sli because a game is crashing because of it, but if it does its a clcik or 2 and your done, just go into your nvidia control panel and disable sli away you go, you don't have to remove the card or anything. Then later if you want to play a game that supports it just re-enable it in the control panel. Its all up to you and your preference i would rather have the capability to use something like SLI when i can rather then not be able to use it when i want to. Nvlink only betters what SLI would do, anything that SLI will do nvlink will do but better,  not everything nvlink will do SLI will do though i suppose.

You can see a pretty good list of games supporting SLI/Nvlink here >  https://www.gamingscan.com/best-games-that-support-sli/
