If I have a notify in the que at EVGA from October of 2020 (Over half a year ago) and EVGA supplies some of these cards for the VAG system at LTT I would think that they would have been considered in stock and would fill my Que slot first. Any thoughts?

they haven't even finished September submissions. You'll be waiting a while my dude.

I agree. Instead of sending cards off to retailers they should probably be allocating that stock to the queue. I have been waiting even longer and it hurts to see them living their best life sending cards to LTT, all while I am sitting there waiting for apparently no good reason. Not to mention that LTT was willing to go buy a bunch of scalped GPUs to sell them back to his audience for MSRP. Luckily the audience had enough smarts to tell him that was an absurd idea in the strawpoll so he did not go ahead with that but can you imagine how much worse he would be making the situation by fuelling the scalping like that? For what it is worth, scalping is only happening because people keep buying those units.

Does LTT have a 3080? Your part number is for a 3080, and LTT received 3070 XC3’s and 3060’s. So the part number you have means nothing toward the stock that was sent out.

Well, at his point I would probably take a 3070 or a 3060. But I will be watching for the 3080's  It's also nice to have your pseudo confirmation that they would fill the que first.

Not happy with LTT in general.
I have always found his videos a bit lacking. Technically they are fine but I would rather watch Jay2Cent or Gamers Nexus for a more deep dive.

I'm pretty much of this opinion on Linus. And the Mods are nice guys, but have no insight into the inner workings of eVGA (neither do I, to be sure...)

I remember working retail and seeing LTT doing the Intel Retail Edge trainings - Made me view him as a sell out with the single minded Intel enthusiast propaganda. Will say anything for a buck.

I get ya man, just poking at ya, been around since the dialup BBS days on the internet. I still remember upgrading my 28.8K modem to a 56K and thinking how smoking fast it was. Cut my teeth on the Original DOOM, Hexen, Heretic, Wolfenstein 3D and the like. I also Pseudo refuse your Pseudo non confirmation on que filling.  Now to go spam the forums and do a ton of cross posting to get my post count up...

I have an issue when they have a huge queue that's been waiting already. They should fulfill their current queue before doing anything else. End of story. I don't care about the altruistic nature of this. It's not fair to the people who've been waiting in the queue to send cards out to this program that could very likely end up waiting another few weeks because of this idiotic move.

While I agree with your point. They are currently sending cards out to retailers and wholesalers right now anyway. I am not asking them to decrease the direct sales. I would prefer them to redirect some retail/wholesale shipments to the VAG program. It probably looks something like ( all numbers are my personal example estimate): - Direct sale: 10% | 10%
- Retail sale: 40% | 35%
- Whole sale: 40% | 35%
- RMA initially: 10% | 10%
- VAG sale: XX% | 10%
If even 10% of the retail and wholesale went to the VAG program, imagine how many cards could make it to gamers.

I understand your point. Having been both a miner (on a personal level) and a gamer. I can say unfortunately there is more money in mining, if there are not ways to force distribution to gamers the miners will always pay more. They just have too much investment money. I see things like VAG as a necessary evil if gamers want their cards. It would be difficult for companies like EVGA to coordinate or spend the resources to do it themselves.

The VAG program has been nothing but the butt of jokes in my circles. The efforts are great, but in the end its an effort that's time-expensive and limited in success.

Its good publicity for both the guys channel and EVGA so I understand why they've done it. I get why you're upset but this is business. Their argument would be those cards would have never been allocated for queue system anyways

hate to say it, but i agree on this, its a huge marketing stunt at this point so people watch all of his videos just to have a chance at winning a card .and in most cases the majority wont watch the video during the first 30 min of it being released
