Lenovo also showed off their Legion Y44w 3840x1200 ultra-wide monitor at CES and quite honestly it is vast measuring in at the 43.4 inches. the Legion Y44w supports a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz with a gray to gray response time of 4 ms with Overdrive enabled. Oh, and it supports AMD FreeSync 2 technology just for good measure. 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen2), 1x USB 3.1 Type-C(Gen1), Audio out, 4x USB 3.0 port Hub (1 with BC1.2). Pricing is not yet available. Availability is expected in April 2019. I personally believe this monitor will not be cheap.

I use two monitors for all my desktops three for my gamer. This would eliminate the black bar in the middle and when you factor in the cost of 2 quality monitors this is the way to go. I wish I saw more GPU reviews that took a monitor like this in to account in their reviews. It would be nice to know if my favorite game would play well with the added pixel count. I personally think the 21:9 aspect ratio is perfect for gaming and media, so I wish more would take this format seriously.

It's 2 16:10 displays without the bezel. Good for movies and desktop productivity. The only thing that bothers me about ultra-wides is that in the context of display tech it's more or less half of a 4k display but costs as much or if not more than one.

personally, I use 2560x1440 or 3,686,400 pixels monitors to game. I've used three of them in Nvidia surround, but like so many other things Nvidia has flaunted it sucks. My preference if I were to buy an ultra wide would be 5120x1440 or 7,372,800 pixels or two 2560x1440 side by side with 1800r sexy curve like the Phillips Superwide found in another thread in this forum. It cost 1300 MSRP, so not much more than two good 2k monitors and NO BAR! Being less than 4k (8,294,400) in terms of pixel count I asume performance would be where I'd like to see it in game. That's what attracts me and did I mention no bar...  Bottom line, I think it would be an awesome experience with any game or movie.
