I built myself a "legacy" X58 Classified system to do some playing around with overclocking with my EVBOT.  I got myself a pair of 580 Classifieds and another pair of the 590 Classifieds and am looking to get updated BIOS to go along with them.   I've downloaded some of the techpowerup repository, but have no idea which ones are "better" or more stable.  I know at one time Jacob posted the official 580 BIOS update (https://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1259368), but the link is since dead.  So if anyone has some BIOS backups of their preferred 580 / 590 Classy BIOSes, it'd much appreciated if you can send them my way!  Thanks!

TechPowerUp has an extensive bios collection on their site  https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/

    Link to the 580 section.

    Hope this helps

Yah, I've downloaded a few of those already. There's just no way from the info they provide to tell if they're EVGA official or some custom BIOS. A higher version doesn't necessarily indicate it'll be more stable or better for OCing. I know there were some custom ones floating around overclock.net but their links are dead too.

There are some notes and/or model numbers under most of the descriptions  https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/107704/evga-gtx580-1536-111011 (voltages and Fans unlocked) as far as what's good or not ? Trial and error is the only way to find that out

All I have is the GTX 580 hydroocopper FTW 2 Bios https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=f9e9c923-8bac-4c50-912d-ec97446ca22a  which has a little lower clocks than what you have but I can dig one of them out to get a copy if you like ?

Other than that you can learn to modify the bios yourself https://forums.guru3d.com...s-editor-guide.336117/

    Best of luck

Thanks for the tips.  I was looking for the quick and dirty solution, but sounds like I'll need to do some work.  Part of building with older gear.

Thanks for the offer on the BIOS.  No need to dig up a copy, I'll make my way through the techpowerup database.

I thought about editing the BIOS.  I quickly tried NiBiToR, but couldn't get it to read the ROMs I downloaded.  I need to go back to it and see if I was missing something.
