Geforce GTX 1080 MSRP $599, World wide availability May 27th.

Geforce GTX 1070 MSRP $379, World wide availability June 10th.

BOTH are claiming huge performance over Titan X and MUCH more power efficiency.

Now, it's time to find crap to sell . . .

Hardware Canucks says the 1080 is a single 8 pin power connector! That is freaking AMAZING!!

Under the pressure of the Munkys to set up my first water cooling loop and this happens as my wallet is empty for toys of this size. One of these new beasts would look SUPAH sexy in a Watercooled loop.  Doesn't that just figure? *laughs* Got some bux saved up and more to come over the next year. I WILL be upgrading as soon as I can!!

I can't wait to see what numbers these will pull.  Seriously thinking 1080 would be the best bet..or wait till a 1080i comes out?

The 1070 is looking pretty promising, have to see some reviews and benchmarks. Said to perform better than Titanx. Did you guys notice the clocks in the spec's? Plus only one 8 pin on the 1080= power efficiency.

The real question is how is folding going to behave on the new GPU?  Since when has F@H ever been ready for a new core within even 6 months of a new GPU architecture?

I agree with pcmaster00 - it will be interesting to see how it folds - but I feel certain it will crunch like a beast - way more efficient for far less power!

I'm planning to replace my GTX780 Ti's this year, but I'm not sure if I want to wait for the GTX1080 Ti.
First see if these new cards will fold well with the current FahCore(s) or how long it will take to develope new FahCore version(s).

DutchForce - I will buy your 780ti for a decent price. I have 2 780SCs- one needs to be rma'd, but they run well - I took both of them out of my case and put a single 970FTW and it is kicking, but if you are interested, that would give me time to save for the pascal while I run 2 x 780's One SC and one ti. The case has 1000watt psu and a 4770k. PM me.

Great results, the 1080 almost gets to.parity with 780ti for double precision. Doubling current performance. Can't wait to see 1070 and EVGAs custom cards.

The FAHbench benchmark runs just fine, since that is based on core17 I have some hopes that performance will be reasonable straight out the box

1070 looks good, a little slower than usual spread per tech sites. I wish they would allow vendors to show their cards once the revealing is done. They have announced the lineup, specs and pricing. I don't see why EVGA has to wait until launch to reveal their customers card specs and pricing.

Nvidia is wanting to ensure first stab at everything - if they ban other outlets from releasing their stats, people aren't going to be as willing to hold off on the impulse purchase of a new device.

this fella over at overclockers.com got his 1080 founders edition going.  here's the link:

and here is what he is saying on his first WU:

"They didn't have it, but 7im got to it quickly and after he had, deleting and restarting the client was all that was left that I needed to do.
    WU11423 (0,0,32)

    Estimated Credit 89125
    Estimated PPD 706457
Estimate TPF 1 min 49 secs.
    2% done.
And I paused it for a bit.  750K ppd looks to be what it will actually get."
