With 8K for sale think they should have gone that way. 4K is still going to be incredible for the picture quality but 8K would probably show a noticeable improvement to picture quality over 4K at 175”

I agree with Hoggle.  That kind of size should have been AT LEAST an 8K screen.  I would even go further to 12K+ and do a comparison on the PPI to see where it stands.

If it is priced accordingly to Samsung's "The Wall," then the price will be over $100,000 easy.  Maybe in 5 years it will be down to $10,000 and I still wont be interested in buying it for the price.  I would take the Acer Predator X27 for $2K over that unless they reduced the price down to $3000 for the microLED.

The problem is that the content for 8k won't be out there for years yet. Content is king and the current best content is 4k Blu-Ray. Everything about this makes it better than 4k projection in a home theater footprint. It's also a case of if you have to ask what it'll cost you're not going to be able ot afford it. But given the market segment this would be in ($250,000 home theater rooms) I'm not seeing a large downside to this tech in 4k.

I completely disagree.  Nothing wrong with asking what things cost no matter.  There are plenty of people that can afford things that would ask the same question as the person that can't.
