You know, I am surprised there is no gaming monitor forum here. What better way to share your experience with others who are wanting to pair their sweet, new EVGA GPU, with a sweet, new monitor. Seriously! Why not have a gaming monitor forum? Anyway, for those of you who own an LG ultrawide gaming monitor, how long have you owned it, and are you happy with it? If you've had any issues with it, what type of issue(s)? How was LG's support? Also, does your monitor put out a lot of heat? I ask about LG ultrawides because that's what I am interested in, but you can tell us about any LG gaming monitor, if you wish. Would love to get your feedback! And I hope I posted this in the right forum. I don't see a Gaming Monitor Forum anywhere around here! Thanks!

There is a gaming monitor forum, called general hardware lol.
EVGA doesn’t make monitors, so there isn’t much of a drive to add a forum for other companies hardware. This forum is EVGA focused.
Now, convince EVGA to partner with an OEM for some good monitors.

LG has seemed good to me so far over the years. I haven't had to deal with their Customer Support , ( which is a plus & a minus )

I guess we all just have to cross our fingers and hope for the best! No matter what company we decide to give our money to.

Picked up one of these pre-holidays when it was on sale for $750. It is exactly the same as the well reviewed LG 34GN850-B only difference is the ill advised logo on the back which looked too similar to the Asus ROG logo so it is thought that they changed the back and model number to make the controversy go away. Video on the subject here. In any case it's my 1st LG Ultragear monitor and it run cool and looks awesome. I will never go back to 16:9 for gaming and I hate the word "never". Zero issues and when I calibrated it was near perfect out of the box which was a surprise. I only really use it on my weekend which is Monday/Tuesday so it should last me quite a while but bottom line I would love to hear others experiences too.

Ya I was reading how the color accuracy isnt the best out of the box and you should have it calibrated. Besides that the only aspect of it I really dislike is that it uses dithering, where it will alternate between two colors to achieve the color seen by the eye which is always active even at 8-bit. I would go for a miniLED which does not do this, but there is no ultrawide.....yet.....

I have an LG 38 and I really like it. I also scratched the hell out of it and they fixed it for me, which was a nice unexpected plus.
