I installed the 2080 yesterday and everything was working fine, the LED was blue however and I really wanted red. I installed the X1 software 0.3.3 and saw the thread for card BIOS update, so I downloaded and installed the one that matched my card (08G-P4-2182-KR - EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 XC) and that seemed to go fine.
BUT now after trying to run the X1 software I have NO LED at all, and I get this message "every time" I start up the X1 software:
“Proceed to update LED firmware, please close all 3D applications”
When I click on “OK” it says:
“Update ok”
So I click on “OK” and the program starts.
After that I get only a few options for LED, NONE for color change, and none of them work, the LED stays off.
Any ideas? I mean the LED is not a deal breaker BUT, it should at least work.

Same here , first i had Precision XOC. THe lights were on but i couldnt chane the color. I would change it but nothing would happen. I installed Precision X1 not no lights at all ? anyone can help ?

I installed PX1 and it borked my card. Middle fan was on at 100% and LEDS were off. EVGA thought it was in safety mode and only flashing the bios helped.
Today PX1 was running at over 10% of my CPU and was crashing my system until I had to reboot.
The software is sketchy to say the least..

Look in the thread I marked as answer, there is a link to another thread/post that has another update for the card. This one is bedsides the one in the main update thread at the top of the forum. Make sure X1 is off, install the update for your card, reboot. Restart start X1. let me know if you can't find it. this link: https://forums.evga.com/Save-LED-color-to-card-m2868791.aspx#2869911 NOTE THIS: " Instructions = Extract and run .bat file" (the .bat file doesn't look like a file that will run but if everything is in the folder as it's supposed to be it does work)

Bat file is old school batch file command.com then comes cmd or cmd.exe and now PowerShell they will run fine.
Make sure you right click on it and select Run as administrator.

I tried to run the bat file, but I get the following error....
"Hardware device 0x49 version 0x07 does not support flash update. Please contact the FW team"

Remove the FE Card from your computer or disable it in the Bios if your Bios support disabling PCIe Slots.

It finally worked! My lights are working again. Thank you!
I removed the Founders Edition card, but I kept getting a "This device is not supported!" when I ran the .bat file.
The GeForce control panel wouldn't show up, so I tried re-installing the GeForce drivers, but that didn't work.
I finally ended up putting the EVGA card in the first slot, and then I was able to see the GeForce control panel and run the .bat file.
Now I need to shut down and move the EVGA card back to slot 2 and put the FE card back in.
More work than it should have been, hopefully I don't have to do this for every update.
