LED Sync causes computer to reboot

Bit weird - launching LED Sync either via Precision X1 or by running the exe directly causes my computer to hard reboot.  Exactly the same as if I'd hit the reset button - instant physical shutdown, followed by reboot. FTW3 with waterblock.

    This happed on my KP Cards as well at one time like pulling the power plug.
    Now I only use the LED Menu in PX1 or PXOC.

    2080ti FTW3, with waterblock (in case not having the cooler assembly connected makes a difference.)
     
    I can control the LED color on the waterblock using precision X1. It just dies if I click the Led Sync button on the sidebar.
