msmith@gamechronicles.cGuess I will wait for my 3090 notify and skip over the 3080ti this generation. I need Valhalla, Legion, and Cold War looking their best NOW and Cyberpunk in a few weeks. Thanks for reality check.
msmith@gamechronicles.cGot my golden ticket yesterday and 3080 coming next Tue but now I see 3080ti coming in Jan ‘21 and wondering if I should wait. I heard CoD is already beyond specs of 3080. Thoughts?
coldrain85If the Ti hasn't been confirmed I wouldn't wait around. I'm going through a similar dilemma right now with the air cooled 3080 vs. hydro copper. My time stamp in the queue is about 2.5 hours away for the air cooled, and at least I know that the hybrids are going to be offered in December. The issue is how are they going to be offered, and how hard will it be to even get on a queue. I don't mind waiting, but this is one of those bird in hand situations. I could cancel my auto-notify for the air cooled 3080 that I am probably < 2 weeks from getting and gamble on another queue that doesn't even exist at the moment. Not only that, but it might be nearly impossible to join if EVGA puts a cap on it like they did with the Kingpin. edit... If the Ti has been confirmed though and you really want the card, I would wait. But then again, by the time the Ti comes out they might drop the price on the 3090. You never know. If you need the extra RAM I would get a 3090.

true1hartKeep the 3080 and sell it when the 3080Ti is widely available.
