mech9t5Thanks for creating this thread dedicated to the KPE HC block only. I have a long way to go, but hey, it's been like this
lifeisshort117Alright so the other threads that had even a slight discussion about the HC Kingpin's had all blown up over people ranting about their place in line for the blocked card. This thread is for the people that queued up for JUST THE BLOCK. ---------------8< snip ---------------------
Dabadger84And if you're curious about how the block performs I have information on temperatures in my thread on this page: https://forums.evga.com/3090-Kingpin-amp-others-Get-that-backside-VRAM-cool-m3219773-p25.aspx - and there's also some results here: https://forums.evga.com/RTX-3090-Kingpin-Hydrocopper-Waterblock-Cooling-Performance-m3280660.aspx For anyone considering getting one, if you CAN wait for the Optimus block, you may want to consider the results there. I'm perfectly happy with it because I already spent too much on backplate side cooling and even if the Optimus is 2-5C cooler or whatever, it's not going to be any difference for me. But the person that did the comparison in the other thread has more experience with blocks than I and said it's a "meh" in terms of performance. One thing I highly recommend is getting 2mm 12+W/mK thermal pads to replace the stock ones, I have those on both sides of the card on the VRAM and my iCX & memory junction temps are noice.

Yeah, you did some excellent work working things out and sharing your results. Thanks for that! Like you, I've got no problem tinkering with stuff and if push comes to shove, I might just jury rig better cooling for the front as well. Who knows how long the wait will be until the next round of Hydro Copper blocks (I'm still 22 away from getting one) and/or the Optimus version. I do have a fairly decent cooling setup to do so either way though (you may have noticed it earlier):
iamjancoI thought about picking up a chiller, but I live in the Adirondacks and it stays cool/cold much of the year. Moving that dual Mora 420 setup in front of the window would pretty much provide much of the same effect when it's colder. That window is currently blocked off now and I don't really have a need for it the moment. I typically keep the room 68°F (20°F) otherwise.
Dabadger84The funny part about that setup is it barely has more fans than I do if it even does... I see 19 That's a crazy one though, I like it

And you wont need to worry about condensation. I'm curious about your tubing. That type would keep temperature in, or out, opposed to other cheaper tubing. Since you won't ever be below ambient while using the system, wouldn't you want heat to leak out anywhere possible?
lifeisshort117Loving that cooling setup you got dude! I've got close to that in my main rig. Mora 420 Pro, x2 420mm HWL GTS, 240mm EKWB SE, 120mm EKWB SE.

I see 19 That's a crazy one though, I like it Thanks; only 18 of the fans pictured above are used for water cooling (those mounted to the rads in push). I've got additional rads and fans that could be added, but there's no real need for them in the pictured use case. I'd almost bet you know more about water cooling than that though
huseyinbaykal5/8/2021 12:10:13 AM PTI will be the last one to get 😂
Dabadger84It's very likely the Kingpin HC block as a separate thing will be pretty limited in run - a lot of the people in the queue will not get one, I don't think.

With a notify that late you'll be better off trying to land a different block maker's block - they may never get to however far down the list your queue spot is. Not trying to discourage you, just providing information.
