Like the looks of it, going to wait and see how it does when it actually pulls a new work unit. I left my data file so it is working on the work units I already had going.

I want them to sort the garbage PCI assignment. I dont want me 980 getting the work units and it showing assigned to the 1080ti. Standford F@H is the only program that cannot figure out which device is where. The folding pc only has one 1080ti and one 980, and I can never tell which work unit is assigned where because F@H isn’t identifying the slots properly. On my main pc, it also mixes up the Titan Xp’s and 1050ti, so the 1050ti gets work units intended for the Titan Xp’s. Is it all that hard for them to sort that issue?

Surely the answer is yes, they lack the ability or interest in fixing that issue. Their handling of multiple graphics have sucked for a long time.

Actually this version fixed it on mine, with the 01 1080TI now actually being my FTW3. Before my FTW3 would always be slot 02 and my Founders 1080TI would show up as being in slot 01.

From hanging out in the forums, apparently they only have 1, yes 1 programmer. He handles everything (literally), as Stanford, as usual, will not put any funds towards anything for this project. If this project is so important to the future of mankind, you would think that with the sheer amount of dollars Stanford has, they would, oh I dunno, hire actual staff instead of relying on students to do the majority of the work? But I guess slave labour is free.

well i have been running the 7.5.1 version now for 3 days with no issue. though i did have to change the default theme to something else so i could actually read the progress bars, the line noting the progress is soo faint it's hard to see without getting right up close to it.

The slaves in question (students) pay to be slaves (tuition) unless they get Grant's or other funds for Stanford.

Why Stanford can not convince one of the Big guns in IT to donate a programmer or two for two weeks or so. I would think Google, MS, Amazon .... would have some sort of Charity program ..... money or talent, either would all help

Any noticeable change in PPD, or is more of a UI refresh?

I guess if the change doesn't actually make it work faster, I'll pass. The only thing 7.4.4 doesn't do for me is pull up the protein visualization. That could be my inferior internet connection.
