Went from some 680's to some 980's.  Was sooo lucky to be able to snag an EVGA pair =) consecutive serial numbers too.

I think you can get it for multiple things. For example, posting pictures up and sharing with the community, or helping someone out that is having a problem. Very nice looking cards BTW.

Hey nice clean build man, very nice upgrade too from Dual GK204-400-A1's to Dual GM204-400-A1's

But I gotta love this pic man, It just does it all!

Very cool how you have captured the colored lighting, what camera did you use?

As your MODS RIGS Page goes, the pics are not showing up, to fix this make them no larger than 1000 x 1000 pixels and nor larger than 2MB.
This should fix your MR page for not showing the pics

Interesting benchmark results. I was thinking about the same thing and upgrading to the 980 boards. The reviews I had seen showed a single 980 benching very close to my 680 SLI but I don't see enough performance increase to justify the expense of twin boards. I need to see what the 980Ti looks like.

Depends on what performance boost you are looking for.  For me, my in-game fps @1600p has almost certainly increased by at least 50% - especially after the increase in vram from 2 to 4gb.  I will expect this to increase as newer drivers are released.  I wouldn't use 3dmark as a real-world example though.  But yes, the speculated 980ti will certainly increase performance, question will be how much more and if it will be worth the cost. imo 4k gaming is not fit for purpose at the moment, the performance is just not there.

I agree on the driver bit. I bought my first 680 at release in March 2012 and it was really bad for a while. I'm pretty happy with things right now. My FPS in BF3 and BF4 exceed 100 and that's pretty good for me using a 1080p 144 Hz monitor. 4k resolution might be great for television but I'm not interested in that kind of expense just to keep myself amused playing a game so the ability to drive a 4k monitor is lost on me. Besides, I'm getting too old to keep up with you youngsters in todays games. It's still a nice upgrade and it looks really good. I might be using these boards for a few more generations.

Totally agree. @ 1080p 144Hz.  680 SLI's are more than enough.  I'm completely happy at 1600p, but 2gb vram was beginning to stretch it.  I don't think ill be upgrading anything for a couple of years, and by the time 4k will even be feasible financially & performance wise, it'll most likely be time to build a new PC.  4-5 yr+ cycle for me!

I used maniacvvv's guide for video settings and the most VRAM I use is in BF4 that caps at around 1866 Mb. I'm getting tired of the game companies telling me I have to upgrade my video boards just to play their game. I haven't seen a game that I couldn't live without. I can prove it because I'm still alive and haven't even thought about playing their games! LOL   To brag that your upcoming game is going to "bring your system to its knees" doesn't impress me and isn't what I want to hear. I want a game that is fun to play.

To be honest, bf4 was definitely a vram vram hog with ultra textures.  It's just the way of things as game tech progresses. 1gb was massive, then 2 etc. Generally grows & matches increasing resolutions.  However, SMAA should be the way forward. Brute forcing 4xmsaa is getting old, but the need for 4gb with increasing resolutions greater than 1080p is still there.  1080p in general, shouldn't need more than 2, but at this point it's more about how much gpu horsepower is needed to run the software. Unless lowering settings is fine or devs become more efficient.  Bf3 caused me to return my 570's with 1.5 gb vram and wait for the 680's in the first place,  the vram stutter was annoying.
