I was at the same spot and spammed the submit order button. my Credit card has a bunch of temporary holds but I don't think I made it. No invoice no deal is my guess

I don't understand how anyone was able to get a card. I got to the Place order button about 25 times and it did absolutely nothing. So much for being an Elite member. I didn't even try nvidia as I thought we actually had a chance here. Should've just went with the FE with how this went.

I got to the same page and never processed. That was over an hour ago and then it boot me to page offering more EVGA products. Then I would never get into the checkout process again and now my Quantity is at 0. I guess its out of stock. NVIDIA and EVGA are a joke.

I reached the product selection page 14 times (I know was counting) kicked 13 times got one in the cart then was kicked.

Some people got extremely lucky with timing, and got their order through the exact millisecond when the servers were coming back up is my guess.

I wouldn't even be mad if I could never get through place order, but the damn thing took my cc info 18 times and once through paypal, and nadda.

We kindly request you not spam this post. 


we kindly request you do pre orders/back orders. The consumer process would be more enjoyable if we could just claim a spot in line, then while we wait you can scrub the line for bots. 
 
EVGA tweets that they are reviewing orders for bots. This is basically like a Trump tweet, they are just saying what we want to hear with no accountability. I wouldn't be surprised if they spent more time writing that tweet than actually removing bot orders. If they are removing bot orders, its not like they are giving those orders to loyal EVGA customers, theres a good chance that same order is going to just go to another bot once restocked making an endless loop of wasted time cancelling bot orders.  why not allow a pre order/back order? tell the customer their place in line, after you actually remove bot orders tell the customer "you were X spot in line. We remove X bot orders and you are now X spot in line." this would make people happier than an empty tweet with no accountability. 


Please understand NVIDIA strictly stated no pre orders/back orders. We are removing any order that looks suspicious and added captcha at check out after reviewing the amount of information and feedback. We used the Elite system to try and combat what you are describing. EVGA is stuck between a rock and hard place, demand is high, traffic is high, we are trying to be as transparent as possible. 




A ton of Elite members were still trying to check out with their cards added to cart from close to 6am pst when you guys posted one of the cards to all users. It's not like they're going to not sell out, why purposely bring on more site load?

Got there several times myself - I finally scored pressing Place Your Order over and over again until it finally processed after a hour and 10 minutes of this freaking roller coaster.

3090 is a pretty poor value gaming-wise given the price, but my render workflow would be very happy. I do hope I can actually buy one soon.

TWICE got to review order, then tossed, LOL.
 
EDIT: A line at my local microcenter, and the website said they had >3< asus tuf's , 40 people in line.

I lived at check out from 9 AM until now, I clicked place order and was dumped back to some random page 8 times, over and over for the last two hours only to have it removed from the cart 10 minutes ago.

I think one of my favorite parts was when the card got removed from my cart as an elite member when it went "public" so we had to do the process from scratch again with no warning of timing.

@crismac1 definitely saving some money. Can now buy 2x3080 with that money.




Which is why they removed the NVLink from the 3080, because it'd be more worth it to spend the same amount of money for two 3080 instead of a single 3090.

I was there too, got there in like first 10 minutes luckily, then it just wouldn't go to next screen, got kicked out to service error a few times, luckily got back here and spammed it another 25 times and it went through

That sucked, took forever to get to payment page and it broke, then when I got back to it they opened it to everyone and I was screwed by then. SUCKED>
