Here is a chance to win an EVGA 1000 Watt Power supply. The contest is pretty easy, Fold in month of January for Team 41608 and have a USA shippable address. A drawing will be made on the last day of the month of people that Folded for my team during the month. Please try to fold under your forum name so I can reach you to announce who won. Keep an eye out also for another contest probably coming down the pike. But have not acquired the prize for that yet. Thanks for your support and keep Folding.

Awesome, my folding name is ipkh. Evga forums wouldn't take such a short name. I've been using my initials for way to long to give it up now.
Too bad the prize couldn't be international. There are plenty of folks here from other countries.

bcavnaugh Maybe EVGA should add this Team to the EVGA Buck Program being they are now supporting this Team Bjorn3D.Com
I wish they would. With 3 people under my roof fighting/fought cancer it would be great to get that kind of support. I also do not want a team named Atheist passing my team up. We are Catholic and since we are all still alive I believe my faith in God has helped some.

Please don't let bcavanaugh get to you Scott. EVGA is supporting your team to the extent of forum publicity and a power supply. It's all about the science so it matters little to me which team gets the credit. Certainly the EVGA bucks are a nice incentive, but hardly required. Some of the longtime members of this forum are bitter over Stanford's decisions in the past with regard to beefy SMP systems being deprecated to focus on GPUs, which had become much more powerful.

Thank you, I think we are all going for the same cause. I have been Folding since 2005 and when cancer keeps hitting my family it ups my fight against it. 2005 think about it I was a CPU folder then. As you can see by my stats I do the best I can for a guy raising his 2 grand kids. I no longer own Bjorn3d the website. But the team is mine and I will never give up one her.

@Scott Is there a Minimum number of Days of Folding -Or- Points requirement to be eligible to enter the drawing ? I'm just thinking you may want to be more specific - so others can decide if they want to enter, based solely on qualifying for drawing

No minimum for this, did it this way so folks could get their EVGA points. If someone only folds the last day I will not put their name in the hat. They have to help out some. But it is going to be a hat drawing so helping out like you made and effort gets you in the hat.

I know you mean well bcavanaugh, it is just that you can't always tell from your posts. I do appreciate your counsel and advice though. Doing my best to keep this thread positive. I've finally got my main system back up and running. Just have final cable tuning left to do, so I'll set these 2 2080tis up for January.

Well not many doing the contest, so as off right now a drawing of about 6 folks for a 1000Watt power supply.

I've been planning to switch over when I hit my EVGA bucks mark for the month. Almost there - my hardware isn't the fastest, but I've always tried to fold as much as I'm able with the hardware I've got.

I have to step up my game in 2020, hard to keep up with all of you multi million per day folders! I must've folded under bjorn for a while a long time ago, I had a couple hundred work units and less than 1M points.. Funny looking back at how much longer it took to make 1M points way back when. Looking through the list, MtDew has 11,639 wu's and only 2M points!
