Died yesterday. No previous signs or so. Memory was Micron. RMA proccess initiated. I am so disappointed. My first EVGA card that failed, ever. I own EVGA cards since it came to existence. Who is to blame? Nvidia for bad quality control? Or both (since EVGA should apply quality control as well)? Sorry for letting off steam on you guys...

Man, sorry to hear that - a huge bummer for sure. Hate seeing these posts.
How long did you have it?

Hopefully EVGA will get you sorted promptly.

What does Micron Memory have to do with the Card Failing.
It is almost as if users are RMA'ing their cards hopes of getting a card with the Samsung Memory.
    What Troubleshooting have you performed?

Coincidence or not, after installing this driver my RTX 2080 Ti died.

What actions have you done since you are saying that the Driver Killed your Card.
Did you uninstall the NVIDIA Drivers and Software and maybe run DDU in Safe Mode and install the older version of the Diver.

My card has micron memory....as Micron has always been rock solid when I've used them I'm not worried about it..

and even if it does 'die', I'll likely test other components like memory, psu and motherboard ...If I haven't changed the TIM at that point I might even try that ...

then I'll simply RMA the card. I can't be sauced to worry about these things....I'm in my mid 50s and I have better things to worry about than "I CAN'T PLAY DOOM TONIGHT?? RABBLE RABBLE!"

One of mine died Saturday as well. Spent 4 hours trying to figure out what the issue was with my PC because I run SLI 2080Ti's and it failed in a weird way. It did not seem like a faulty GPU at all, but after pulling my PC apart and testing one card at a time I finally got the space invaders artifact after 20 min of Time Spy Extreme stress testing. Called EVGA customer service on a Saturday and the agent got me an RMA immediately. I have to say the customer service team is amazing!!!

I did check that box, I was curious why they even asked that though? Why does it matter?

Heard from somewhere with people looking into the issue with the 2080ti that it may be something stupid with why these are all failing. Hinting power? Power regulation or something.

Not anything to do with memory... as a guy had 2 cards die in a row and they both had different memory chips.

Because if they send you a new card and it is not of the same model they would replace both of your Cards.
Say you have 2 GTX 1080 SC Ti in SLI and they had no more GTX 1080 Ti Cards they would then Send you Two GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Cards
Or even two RTX 2020 Graphics Cards with a Special Deal on the New Bridge

You are luck that you have EVGA card if something bad happen.
But you know that reason is probably higher number of dying RTX graphic cards.
    NVIDIA explain that.
Anyway they will need to replace and pay all loss.

Micron is good memory. I have Micron on ASUS GTX1080Ti Poseidon, Micron is on TITAN XP, Quadro, Tesla.

Micron memory has nothing to do with it. I've mentioned that due to the number of other reports on RTX card failing with Micron memories. Have you ever seen any report of a dead RTX with Samsung memories? I did not.

After the driver install, the card started to behave oddly. Naturally, the first thing that came to my mind was to DDU and install the previous version. Unfortunately, doing so did no good. The card kept misbehaving. I've tried several driver versions (feeding a clueless hope that the failure was the driver's blame) and nothing I could do did help. I even tested the card on another PC, with fresh driver installs. All the same. The card is dead. Period.

There's clearly a quality issue with these 2080 Ti's .... Nvidia should fess up since they obviously know very well what the underlying cause is. Just saying...

Time to admit that you screwed up Nvidia, it happens to us all. My opinion of Nvidia is rapidly diving the more that I learn about this issue (and I do work in the computer business).

Based on my own experience (2 cards now) the cards behave perfectly normally until you stress them out (eg. Battlefield V on a 4K screen). Perhaps they are hoping that most users will never do this and they can avoid a recall situation.

I had a Founder Edition 2080 Ti and I stressed the hell out of it for a month. The card was working flawless. That being said I returned it 30 days later because of all the quality issues being reported. Too many red flags to ignore.

The good news is that EVGA and NVIDIA customer services is Top Notch.

Curious, did that include 4K resolution? Did you also run Battlefield V ?

Anyway, it's good to hear that at least some of them ARE working... so far my failure rate for 2 cards is 100% so you will understand why I'm nervous about forking out $$$$ for card #3.

BUT.. I'm in a very difficult position.. I need to find a good video card for 4K gaming on an ultra-wide monitor with decent frame rates (and not costing the earth).

Period.

Can you specify "missbehaving" ? Missbehaving doesn't necessarily mean dead... But you do you.

GPU-Z can tell you what your card has.
