This was my trick:

1. Login to PayPal ahead of time and setup PayPal 1 click + preferred payment methods.
2. Add to cart.
3. The SECOND you see the page/tab begin its redirect to checkout, go directly to the checkout's first step, aka checkout shipping setup, in a new tab. https://secure.evga.com/Cart/Checkout_Shipping.aspx | This basically saves you a click and a page load.
4. Don't worry about the last tab/page. If the redirect to cart page initiated, it was added to your cart. 
5. Continue as usual while you hate how slow PayPal is. After paypal you get to a "confirm your order page".
6. Stress the eff out as the "submit my order" button doesn't exist. When it finally shows up, it taunts you by unchecking the check boxes every time you press the button.
7. Pray the blue spinny circle processes your order.

I got mine within the first 5 minutes. 1Gbps FIOS on east coast. I tried and failed every EVGA 3080 drop. Step 3 was critical to my success this time... and also the whole elite only thing.
