https://www.overclock3d.net/news/software/it_looks_like_metal_gear_solid_1_2_may_be_coming_to_pc/1 Three new games from Konami have appeared on the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee website, revealing that Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Subsistence may be coming to PC. All three of these games are already available on PC (except Metal Gear, which was an MS-DOS game. Sadly, none of these titles are currently available digitally. Right now, it looks like Konami plans to address this shortcoming, allowing PC gamers to play these titles on modern systems while giving themselves an opportunity to profit from these classic games. These games are unlikely to be full-on HD remasters. These games are expected to be tweaked versions of each game's original PC versions, allowing them to run on modern Windows PCs with high resolutions and modern gamepads. That said, Metal Gear fans would no doubt welcome digital releases of these games. Taiwan's new Metal Gear ratings do not guarantee future PC releases for these games, but ratings like this do not appear from nowhere. Konami are, at a minimum, considering PC re-releases of these Metal Gear/Metal Gear Solid titles. Hopefully, we will have more concrete information about these ports soon. Having these games available for PC is good for the company's revenue in my opinion.

If these end up like all the current batch of "Remasters' we have had released- it's going to be brutally bad.
If they would actually remaster all the textures, then they would be cool.....

If they could do a proper remake that would be awesome.
But granted with the way they split with Kojima, most likely not happening.

So disappointing these are unlikely to be full-on HD remasters. I'd love to see them get the Fox Engine treatment.

That's great, hope they're good ports. I was just talking with my friend about how they should remake the whole series for PC, and this is a good start.

I love these games. I spent literal days just playing the MGS1 demo from playstation magazine. I got so good at that first part of the game it was crazy. Hard to believe Kojima moved on. I wonder what he will do next. I've been playing Death Stranding and actually I really like it.

I'd love to play MGS1 again, it still stands out to me as one of the best in the series in my opinion. I wasn't very fond of MGS2 but I know that game has it's cult following, but I haven't played it in forever. Wonder if my opinion will change...
