I noticed the golden connectors on my 2080 TI to evga ftw3 ultra are short. From the front and back why? https://imgur.com/a/eg24cFE

    Yeah those pins have drawn my attention everytime I examine a card and it freaks me out at first.. haha

    and actually you can see this on any pcie:


     
    It is made for hotswap as standard for pcie. It just nobody used that feature actually :)
    Except maybe some platforms with hot-swapable pice sas controllers...
