I am Just wondering if there some kind of limit on how many devices an RGB header can run ?As my Mobo only has a single 4 pin RGB header but I can not find anywhere that says there's a limit I suspect there must be one of sorts at least. But maybe the limit is very high and more then we would reach inside a pc case? I just don't want to dive into buying 3 extra RGB fans , and two strips to find out that's over the limit for a header . I currently only have two RGB fans. Thanks in advance for anyone more knowledgeable on this subject. only place that has shown a kind of limit is asus said 2m of leds. so i guess with 2 rgb fans an maybe 12inch long led strips i will be well with in the limit

Are you doing a build for the Mods Rigs section? Should this be in General Hardware?

Most motherboard headers are rated at 1 amp a piece. Contact evga tech support if you own a evga motherboard to figure out what your headers are rated at... https://www.evga.com/about/contactus/

    As Sajin stated, do that.
but, by chance can you list the motherboard you're using?
Typically the limit is not at the header, but at the controller/hub the RGB header is traced to
Most motherboards are limited to a total of 1.5A or 3A, and I suggest if your limit is 3.0A to not go anymore than 2.75A to be safe.

I split my 1 header to 5 fans if that helps.

How much power do fans that use RGB use? As they are not being powered by the RGB header for fan speed just the RGB led. My monitor is an ASRock z270 k6 maybe I missed somewhere where it told me how much I can run off that 4 pin  rgb header. I gusse it's really an unknown at this point as I don't see RGB fans really listing how much power for there leds on them

Can you list the fans that you are using and the motherboard? I will gladly help, just need this information to look up technical statistics of your equipment ;)

I don't think there's an easy way just to look that up.Do places list the led draw separate from the fans power draw?as from what I have seen they just list the fans power draw. As my fans use two separate connectors one for the fan power which are easier to figure out as those numbers come on the box and another 4 pin connector for an LEDs that connects to the Mobo's 5 pin 12v RGB header.

it will depend on the brand of fans, corsair fans need the lighting node to have full RGB effect and run at a different voltage, think its 5v, so you need to match the fan rgb to the controller. some asus boards will work with certain brands but not others.
