My EVGA 1060 SC card is going out of warranty at the end of this year.

My monitor(LG 34UM69G-B) would randomly start flashing using a display port cable. It only happened when playing Rift, which is not really getting any support now that Trion died and sold it to Gamigo. Even when exiting, it would still happen, forcing a reboot. I keep the video card drivers up to date.

The problem went away when I switched to an HDMI cable.

Could this be a video card problem that needs to be addressed before the warranty expires?

Did you flash the card with the DP update?

Also, are you using a certified DP cable?
Generally speaking, if it is a single game causing a lockup and needing a reboot, it is the game.

Thanks, I will give the update a try.

I assumed it was just the game, but better to check.

Edit: It is already updated, thanks again.

yeah, try a new cable. And it could also be the monitor may be starting to go out,not the card. ?
