Is the RTX 2080 XC a reference model? (For use with NZXT G12 bracket)

Hey all,
 
I wanted to grab the NZXT G12, and I asked them if the EVGA RTX 2080 XC was supported and they asked "The Kraken G12 should be compatible with any reference model of an RTX 2080 GPU. Make sure that the RTX 2080 that you intend to use is a reference model (you can consult the manufacturer for this information), but if it is, it should work.".
 
Does anybody know if the 2080 XC (non-ti version) is a reference model?

    ..but I believe any of the cards that do NOT have the ICX sensors technology on them are reference versions , just with changed coolers.
